Do you edit all the photographs?

Yes, I personally edit each and every photo I deliver to my clients. I never send them away to be edited by a third party so I can ensure the best quality photos get delivered to you.

Do you work with photographer assistants and second shooters?

Yes, depending on the wedding or event and coverage I will sometimes bring along an assistant and/or second shooter. I will let you know if they are needed for your wedding or event.

Do you deliver photos in black and white?

Yes, my style is primarily color photography with black and white photos sprinkled throughout. I only make a photo black and white when I feel it will be enhanced or better represent the moment.

How long does it take to receive our photographs?

For weddings and events photos will be delivered within 12 weeks. For engagement sessions, proposals, and portraits photos will be delivered within 4 weeks.

Are your photographs watermarked?

I provide un-watermarked high resolution images to all my clients. I will occasionally also provide watermarked sneak peeks for sharing with family and friends.

Do we receive RAW, unedited photos?

No, RAW unedited photos are not provided. I select all the good images and work hard to edit them to best represent your wedding, event, or portraits. Photos that have not been selected are not retained and cannot be provided.

How many photos will I receive?

I do not set out to capture a set number of photos for each wedding or event, there are numerous factors that impact the total number of photos. Typically for weddings I deliver approximately 750 photos and for engagement shoots approximately 75 photos.

Do you bring backup equipment?

Yes, I bring redundant equipment to mitigate the risk of equipment failure.

Will you photograph everyone at my wedding?

My goal at any wedding is to photograph the couple, immediate family, and wedding/bridal party. I always get candids of guests and try to cover the wedding as best as possible but cannot guarantee that you will receive photos of everyone. If there is a specific person or group you want a photograph with please let me know in advance or at the latest, during cocktail hour, and I will do my best to make it happen.

Do you take posed wedding photos?

Yes! While my main goal for any wedding is to capture the day authentically, I understand the need for posed family photos and will happily direct to get all the photos you desire.

Business

Do I need a permit to photograph in my venue?

Some venues or parks/gardens require a permit for photography. I am happy to help you research if one is needed and how much it will cost. If a permit is needed, it is your responsibility to obtain it.

How far in advance should I book?

For weddings and events I recommend booking a year in advance, especially if they are on a weekend from May through October. For everything else I recommend booking at least two months in advance. However please don't hesitate to reach out for my availability sooner. In general I recommend booking me as soon as you are able so I can hold your date.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured. If your venue requires a certificate of insurance or liability I can provide one upon request.

What happens if you get sick or can’t make it?

In all my years of photography I have never missed a shoot! If I have a serious illness I have a large network of fantastic photographers I have worked with and trust to cover your wedding or event. For non time-sensitive shoots we can reschedule at the earliest convenience.

Where do you live and how far will you travel?

I split my time between Weston, CT and Bellmore, NY and I shoot all over the tri-state area! I am happy to travel anywhere in the world provided travel costs are covered.

What is the difference between copyright and usage and print rights?

Copyright means I am the creator and owner of the images. Usage and print rights are your ability to use the photos for sharing with family/friends and creating prints. I grant full image rights to my clients. You are only not allowed to sell or alter then publicly post them. I retain the rights use the photos for promotions and competitions.

Do you provide prints?

Yes, I send you all photos in an online gallery that makes it super easy to order high quality prints and have them shipped to you. For extra large prints or special requests please contact me and I will help!

Do you design albums? What is the process like?

Yes, I design albums and books for any occasion. I will walk you through the options for each to help you decide what you want. In the online gallery of photos I send you I will ask you to "heart" your favorite photos you want in your album or book. I will create a layout with those and any other photos to tell the story of your wedding or event. Once the layout is complete I will send you a proof where you will have an opportunity to provide feedback before it is printed.

Do you backup photos?

Yes, I have both local and remote backups to ensure photos will not be lost in the event of a storage failure. I retain all delivered photos for 5 years.

What is your deposit and payment schedule?

A deposit of 50% is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior.

Do we need to feed you?

For weddings and events, yes! I get quite hungry working long days and frequently the only break I get is during the reception to replenish my energy. Side note, I am allergic to potatoes (weird, I know).
