Steph + Chris’ Wedding Jedediah Hawkins Inn

Stephanie and I met in college in a photography class, and I have so many wonderful memories of us in the photo lab and driving around singing "Pieces of Me" at the top of our lungs! So I was thrilled when she reached out for me to photograph her wedding. She and Chris both love art and are big Jackson Pollock fans, and they thought his studio in East Hampton, the Pollock-Krasner House, would be the perfect spot for their engagement photos.

They chose to get married in June at Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport, NY. I love that they have rooms on site, so you can stay over and get ready right there. Once I arrived, I started photographing all the details. Stephanie borrowed her mom's necklace for her something blue and got new Valentino shoes to match her new last name, I mean she had to, right?!

They are both such caring people with big hearts. Nothing is more important to them than their families and loved ones, and that shined through all day. Stephanie got ready with her mom and shared special first looks with not only her dad, but her brother and her bridesmaids!

Then we drove down the road to Sacred Heart Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Mattituck, a few miles up the North Fork, where they were married in the most charming stone church.

Once we returned to Jedediah Hawkins Inn, we took portraits of Stephanie and Chris together and with their wedding party and family until cocktail hour.

During cocktail hour they jumped right in and made sure they said hello to every single one of their guests.

They shared the sweetest first dance together, and then there were six speeches. I am pretty sure everyone was teary-eyed by the time both moms got up to speak. I love hearing about couples' love stories told through the lens of their friends and parents. Never gets old!

The DJ opened the dance floor with parent dances, and then the party got started!

To end the night, we stepped outside for the most perfect sunset photos. I am so thankful I was able to photograph their wedding and be a part of this wonderful day!
